What kinds of trips are available to passengers and drivers?

The speciality of SC Ridesharing lies in how it expands the ways that students can share rides. There are three main trips: direct, on-route, and near. Direct trips are where the passenger and driver are both going to the same location. On-route trips are where the driver is passing the passenger's location on their route and near trips are where the driver's location is near to the passenger's, so in both cases they can drop them off or pick them up. This innovation in how trips are planned can allow passengers and drivers to get more opportunities to rideshare.

I am trying to edit the logistics of my trip, but I have already submitted it. Can I still edit my trip details?

Go to the 'Manage your Trips' section, and you will find your trip listed in the table provided, and you can edit it in whatever way you like. We also recommend deleting your trip once you have found a ridesharer.

I cannot drive anymore, but I registered as a driver. How can I change into a passenger?

Go to Settings->Preferences, scroll down and click on 'Edit'. Once you have confirmed your password, you can edit your preferences and click 'Submit.'

I am not able to create trips for local areas near Columbia.

SC Ridesharing is made for long-distance trips. Use Uber/Lyft for rides around the campus.
